This charming and unique purse is a stylish and sturdy accessory for any outfit. Made from Sakabukuro, a cotton fabric used for making sake, it's a conversation piece as well as a handbag!
To make sake, each Sakabukuro bag is soaked in persimmon, giving it a rich brown color, then filled with fermented rice. After time, the delicious liquid is squeezed from the bag. This particular purse is a patchwork of collected Sakabukuro bags, each panel displaying a slightly different shade of rugged brown. Only the strap and lining fabric are not made fron Sakabukuro.
