The soft silk surface changes from soft red to petal pink in the middle, while rivers of pure gold flow with traditional motifs. Cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums and peonies bloom like the first day of spring around royal carriages and diamond screens. Finally, crisp white cranes soar above the entire scene, their elegant feathers accenting the woven tassel decorations on the long sleeves.
The padding along the bottom hem gives this uchikake a gorgeous shape, while the radiant red lining echos the outer-fabric.
