This beautifully antiqued wooden tansu chest was used to hold any number of secret items.
The rich reddish wood of this tansu will surely compliment any interior, its soft grain peeking through its shiny veneer. The elegant family crest pattern of the metal locks adds a beautiful and almost geometric quality to this tansu while the metal braces make this chest look strong and secture. Two handles appear on either side, making it quite easy to move.

Some minor wear, scratches, slight rust on the metal fittings, and smudges inside the drawers are expected of an antique tansu. The top and bottom drawers don't completely close, but it is not very noticeable. The key to the locks and the small ring pull on the right hidden drawer is missing. |
