A tranquil scene unfolds on the bronze side of this e-kagami. Graceful cranes soar in the sky and rest by a peaceful stream, shaded by an old pine tree and bamboo shoots. A mino-game turtle reveals his lucky tail of sea algae as he looks to one side as plum blossoms burst to life. The background is made up of a shimmery textural pattern of tiny dots.
This mirror was made in the old province of Kaga as inscribed on the left.
