| Johinkai Exhibition HAORI/MICHIYUKI 2 PLATES #202 |

Many kimono events take place in Japan, but the Johinkai Exhibition organized by Takashimaya department store (first established as a kimono boutique in Kyoto in 1831) is one of the most prestigious and long-standing annual events in Japan.
The kimono which are carefully selected for the Johinkai exhibition are not only visually pleasing but are made by top-notch artists using the highest textile art technique that Japan boasts to the world.
Listed here is a set of two plates with a printed image of the beautiful kimono (including Haori and Michiyuki) that was exhibited at the Johinkai exhibition between 1950 to early 1980s. These prints are very pretty, easy to frame and will make a fascinating gift.
Some prints may show the title of the design or the artist's name on the sides. Price is for two plates. |
