| Antique BRONZE MIRROR Chrysanthemums & Pine Tree |
This old bronze mirror enjoys a delicate rendering of chrysanthemum blossoms and pine tree with round pine boughs on the backside.
The metal cast details are quite exquisite and demonstrate the excellent skills of the carver who made the original design.
The inscription on the far left indicates the clan name of Fujiwara and the maker's name of Masashige. This mirror dates from the mid 19th century and, considering its great age, is in a bright condition.
Such a treasure can be beautifully displayed on a wall, using a spring and brass plate hanger or a pair of screw hooks at the neck of the handle. |
