| Baby's MIYA-MAIRI KIMONO Samurai's Departure |

Here arrives a brave warrior on the back of a handsome white horse pulled by one of his men.
Golden boats in the sea carry a magnificent shrine structure with red and white lanterns on the ends and an elaborately decorated festival float exhibit small dolls in scared dresses at the top.
Set against a soft cream background, these framed scenes seem to celebrate the warrior's departure or return from a battle. The cock on the drum is a symbol of peace. The dark blue areas are decorated with various eye-catching emblems.
The kimono is padded with soft cotton and has a crisp ivory silk lining and tie cords. At center back of the kimono is a hand-sewn white thread Semamori, or amulet, that is believed to ward off bad spirits.
This delightful little kimono is hand made and waiting for you to give it a new home! |
