| Vintage Book: KOTTO - Being Japanese Curios |

This delightful little book would be a precious addition to your library. Published in 1902, this is a first edition published by The MacMillan company, New York. Kotto, Being Japanese Curios, with Sundry Cobwebs is a collection of nine old stories "to illustrate some strange beliefs" together with some old books.
Lafcadio Hearn lectured on English Literature in the Imperial University of Tokyo was well respected in literary circles and has made a notable collection for readers to enjoy. The cinnamon toned illustrations by Genjiro Yeto are beautifully detailed additions that visualize the old tales.
There is a contents page listing stories such as "In A Cup of Tea", "Story of A Fly" and books "Gaki", "In The Dead of the Night" and "Kusa-Hibari". There are 251 pages and a number of b/w photographs in this hard cover, cloth bound book. |
