| Ceramic SAKE BOTTLE Chrysanthemum & Butterflies (D) |

Indigo blue flowers on a creamy white background makes this fetching design outstanding.
From the base bands emerges small bunches of thick leaves around a stylized flower with downward-facing, narrow chrysanthemum petals. Two matching blossoms are above with only a few leaves at the side.
Turning to the back we are pleasantly surprised to see two small butterflies at play, symbolizing joy and longevity.
This glazed sake bottle is larger than those used today and has a long, narrow neck with an inverted base.
It is an ideal size for displaying single or two to three flowers on your desk, end table, or the mantle piece in your dining room. The simple elegance of blue and white would suit any home decor. |
